Nothing moves automatically from OptionCharts to Options Matrix Pro. Your saved trades, watchlists and chart settings stay in your OptionCharts account. Rebuild the watchlists and open positions you still use in OMP, and keep OptionCharts for what OMP does not offer, such as dealer-exposure charts, historical statistics and market-wide trends pages.

1

Before you begin

  • List your OptionCharts watchlists and the tickers you check most often.
  • Note each saved trade: legs, strikes, expiry, quantity and entry price. Saved trades live in your OptionCharts account and are not imported.
  • Download any chart data you want to keep as CSV. Downloads are a Premium feature.
  • List the charts you rely on, so you can decide which ones OMP covers and which you still need.
2

Match the way you work

See where the steps you use in OptionCharts sit inside OMP.

1

Research

In OMP

Start from a saved watchlist or scan, then carry the exact result forward.

In OptionCharts

Browse Market Trends or open a ticker’s chart library.

2

Shortlist

In OMP

Rank strikes and expiries in Matrix by normalised yield, breakeven, probability and expected move.

In OptionCharts

Read open interest, volume, IV skew and Greeks charts by strike.

3

Model

In OMP

Open the exact legs in the Visualizer with expected move, Greeks and price, date and IV scenarios.

In OptionCharts

Build the position in the Profit & Loss Chart; Premium adds probability and risk metrics.

4

Track

In OMP

Save the setup as a campaign and keep thesis, notes, rolls and adjustments with it.

In OptionCharts

Save the trade on Premium to track performance, or use it for paper trading.

3

Rebuild your setup in OMP

Bring across only the watchlists, scans and active trades you still use.

  1. 1

Create OMP watchlists and add your tickers by hand.

  2. 2

Recreate each saved trade leg by leg in the Visualizer and check strike, expiry, action, quantity and entry price against your broker.

  3. 3

Compare the P/L curve, breakeven and probability with the OptionCharts Profit & Loss Chart. Model definitions can differ.

  4. 4

Use scanners (All Access, $50/month) and Matrix (Pro, $30/month) to shortlist new candidates, then save validated trades as campaigns (Pro) with notes.

  5. 5

Keep or cancel OptionCharts depending on whether you still need its dealer-exposure, historical and trends charts. Its FAQ says cancellation is self-service and runs to the end of the billing period.

What will not transfer

These stay in OptionCharts or have no OMP equivalent. Decide which you still need before you change your setup.

  • Dealer gamma and delta exposure charts stay at OptionCharts. OMP shows GEX proxy walls, open interest walls and max pain as scanner context.
  • Historical option statistics and contract history stay at OptionCharts.
  • OptionCharts’ market-wide Market Trends rankings (unusual activity, flow, IV rank) have no OMP equivalent. OMP shows IV rank per ticker.
  • OMP has no CSV download of chart data. Download what you need from OptionCharts before you cancel.

Frequently asked questions

Can OMP import my OptionCharts saved trades or watchlists?

No. They stay in your OptionCharts account and nothing links the two products. Recreate the trades and watchlists you still use in OMP by hand.

Can I keep OptionCharts while using OMP?

Yes. OptionCharts suits chart-led research and OMP suits shortlisting, modelling and tracking. The two accounts are independent.

Will OptionCharts and OMP show the same Greeks?

Not necessarily. Greeks and implied volatility are model outputs, and OptionCharts calculates them from OPRA data using its own stated models. Compare the P/L curve and breakeven rather than expecting every figure to match.
