Switching guide
Switch from OptionStrat to Options Matrix Pro
A practical guide to setting up your OptionStrat watchlists, scans and active trades in Options Matrix Pro, with clear notes on what must be rebuilt manually.
~35 min setupMoving from OptionStrat to Options Matrix Pro does not happen automatically. Record the watchlists, scans and active positions you still use, set them up carefully in OMP, and check the results against your broker records. Confirm whether any specialist OptionStrat features remain important before changing your subscription.
Before you begin
- Export or record watchlists, saved screens and active positions where OptionStrat permits it.
- Write down what each saved screen or setting helps you decide instead of copying everything.
- Treat broker records as the definitive record of live positions and fills.
- Use the OMP trial to test the tasks that matter before making a subscription decision.

Find ideas
In OMP
Scan a saved watchlist or broad market universe for strategy opportunities, then carry the exact result forward.
In OptionStrat
Optimizer starts with one ticker; the separate market-wide product monitors unusual flow rather than scanning a watchlist for strategy setups.
Compare
In OMP
Use Matrix to rank strikes and expiries by normalized yield, breakeven, probability, liquidity and expected move.
In OptionStrat
Builder and Optimizer compare candidates, but no equivalent cross-expiry Matrix workflow is documented.
Model
In OMP
Open the exact setup with expected-move context, then rewind to an earlier market date when historical reconstruction matters.
In OptionStrat
Strategy Builder models price, time and probability, but no equivalent expected-move overlay or past-market reconstruction workflow is documented.
Manage the campaign
In OMP
Ask AI Analyst, save linked positions, journal the thesis and monitor entries, rolls, adjustments and total P/L.
In OptionStrat
Saved strategies can track P/L, closes and rolls, but no connected AI, campaign journal or historical-entry workflow is documented.
Rebuild your setup in OMP
Bring across only the watchlists, scans and active trades you still use.
- 1
Create OMP watchlists or scanner lists and add symbols manually.
- 2
Rebuild scanner filters using the closest OMP rules; do not assume metric definitions are identical.
- 3
Recreate active trades leg by leg in the Visualizer and verify strike, expiry, action, quantity and entry price.
- 4
Save validated trades and add lifecycle or journal context as needed.
- 5
Compare outputs side by side before retiring any old workflow.
What will not transfer
Check whether you still need these specialist features before you leave OptionStrat.
- OMP does not currently provide OptionStrat-style unusual flow feeds.
- OptionStrat does provide probability distribution, saved-strategy tracking, historical price charts and position rolls; OMP’s advantage is the broader expected-move, historical-market and campaign-journal workflow.
- OMP Visualizer is predefined-template analysis; custom structures, saved campaigns, journals and public sharing require Pro.
- Template counts and metric definitions are not one-for-one equivalents.
Frequently asked questions
Can OMP automatically import my OptionStrat account?
No. There is no automatic account or trade-data migration from OptionStrat. Watchlists, scanner rules and open positions must be reviewed and recreated manually.
Should I cancel before rebuilding my workflow?
Keep access until you have tested the OMP workflows that matter to you, checked your saved information and confirmed that your important tasks are covered.
